Akiko DuPont

Akiko is a documentary photographer based in Tokyo and London. She is interested in how people experience the world and focuses on allowing the subjects’ messages to shine through the photographs she takes.
She developed her love for a diversity of people through her childhood spent in China, Pakistan, England, and spent most of her childhood in a small oyster farming city in Japan.

Her works varies from documenting Philippine WWII victims of sexual violence to the last traditional tattoo artist of the Kalinga tribe, Whang Od, and more. You can find out more about her work at www.akiko-dupont.com
