Kiramics organically creates functional and sculptural objects and forms that explore different technical processes. Her work is deeply influenced by Zen garden aesthetics and the art of Haiku poetry.
She is fascinated by the way in which clay can become a bowl or a figure, anything – but more importantly she works in conjunction with clay.
When throwing on the potter’s wheel, Kiramics finds a deep centeredness through which she can communicate her innermost feelings and thoughts in an elemental dialogue with the clay through her hands.
The process of glazing illuminates and makes visible mother nature within the clay bringing its magical presence into the world.
