Gérard Touren
Gérard Touren began photography at a very young age, in the middle of the 60s. From 16 onwards he developed his silver prints ; later he would say that this is what pushed him towards digital photography, and also the level of care that he accords his work in the laboratory.
He visited Japan for the first time in 2015. Fascinated by the country, and accompanied by his friends from the Magnum photo agency, he embarked upon an adventure to meet with the inhabitants of the capital. He has managed to capture with his camera intensely normal and natural moments of daily life, far from the westernised view of Japan.
